My new TV is here, so now I can get all 1080p-tarded at 96hz(no 3:2 pulldown needed) from a Bluray pissing at it at a cinema-native 24fps. All with no loss in motion resolution. Running a 20-slide set of solid colors at 30 sec intervals on it day and night with all the levels turned up while I'm not watching it to give the phosphors a nice even break-in for roughly 200 hours(also to give the other internals a full shakedown to see if any will prematurely fail, I'm looking at you, power supply). Then, I'll use the Cnet Labs' advanced picture settings, to get mah full on tweak short of getting the fucker ISF calibrated. 54" of goodness chillin on the best plasma currently in production and available for the US market(they stopped making the Pioneer KURO tvs for the US, but this set actually bests the KURO in some areas).
